Resilient and Radiant

Some days it feels like it takes a lot of effort to be intentional - to persevere through situations.  I'm learning a lot about being resilient; I don't know about radiant.  (Maybe it's more like I'm glowing from the sweat of exertion.)  Persevering (endurance) and resilience is a mindset.  I want to be someone that others will see as having overcome that valley or mountain that stands in the way of what God called me to.

I want to be resilient in my body so that I'm not "falling apart" when I'm called to care for someone or so I can enjoy being with my family and not be limited because I'm in physical pain.  I want to be resilient in my faith so that I can trust God first - rather than going through all the Plan A's and B's and turning to God as my last resort.  I want to be resilient in my walk with God so that His Word is my daily manna - sufficient and satisfying for each day.

So in the hard things, I had to intentionally dig deep and trust God to sustain me - how faithful God is when we yield to Him.  Romans 5:2b-5 says "..and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.  Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us."

After almost 14 years of not touching my crafting supplies, I decided to take it up again.  Years ago, it started as a creative outlet when I had young kids that turned into a hoarding/collection problem and then, for some reason, turned into a burden which sucked the joy of creating and defeated the whole purpose of starting the craft to begin with.  This time around, I'm trying to create cards that make me feel cheerful so I can gift them truly from my heart - create joy and give joy.
